Jayline’s Story
Jacky was worried when her usually joyful daughter Jayline became so sick that she didn’t want to play anymore. Doctors discovered a cancerous tumor on her kidney that had spread to other parts of her body. But Jayline is a fighter.

When Joe and Mary took a trip to Montana two months before their baby’s due date, they had no idea it would be an early delivery. Mary’s water broke shortly after they saw Old Faithful erupt and the family was rushed, ambulance to ambulance to single engine airplane, from Montana to Salt Lake City.
When Lynaela was born near the end of January 2016, her mother noticed that the baby’s stomach was oddly distended. She checked with her pediatrician in the Four Corners area, but they couldn’t find a cause. On a visit to a different doctor they discovered that Lynaela was experiencing liver failure and immediately referred the family to Primary Children’s Hospital.
We stayed at the house for almost three months in 2012 when our daughter Tess was born 14 weeks early and stayed in the Nicu in murray. We had no idea how important the house would be to us!
Ali has been staying at the House on and off for a few years while she has been battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Ali is one of the 670 children courageously facing down cancer – that have stayed at our Ronald McDonald House over the last year.
